Gary Clark Jr. is a US guitarist and actor. As the "saviour of the blues" and with influences from the worlds of blues, jazz, soul, country, and even hip hop, he shares the stage with various rock'n'roll legends. His musical trademarks are his highly diffuse guitar tone and supple vocal style. Gary began playing the guitar at age 12. He played his first gigs in and around Austin, Texas, where he was born and reared. After meeting promoter Clifford Antone, he played with artists such as Jimmie Vaughan, who helped pave his way into the Texas rock'n'roll scene. He performed alongside artists like B.B. King, Eric Clapton, ZZ Top, and Sheryl Crow at the 2010 Crossroads Guitar Festival. In 2011, Rolling Stone singled him out as "Best Young Gun". On the heels of collaborative efforts with Alicia Keys, Mick Jagger, and Buddy Guy, among others, his new album "Blak and Blu" was released in October 2012.
Gary and Palmer are both simply authentic and genuine.
