Considered one of the most creative, diverse, and hard-rocking of contemporary American bands, Monster Magnet is credited with pioneering “stoner rock”. They’re noted for the uniqueness of their sound, their authenticity as a band, their ability to grow musically, and the intelligence and wit of their songs. Fusing garage rock, progressive rock, heavy metal, punk and psychedelia – Last Patrol is Monster Magnet’s tenth studio album and a testament to everything they stand for. In addition to musical influences, the band has always been inspired by comic book, science fiction, horror movies, and B-movies by filmmakers such as Roger Gorman and Russ Myer.
I have had a Palmer ADIG-LB for years in my studio. It has been flawless in every way I have used it. I originally purchased it for my home recording purposes to eliminate having to mic up a loud amp. For that it was great. Little did I know at the time it is way more useful than just that. As my studio has expanded I have found many ways to use it as a complete studio tool. I use it to record Guitar, Bass and even Vocals. It is incredible to reamp any signal threw. It’s a main stay on all of my projects and Monster Magnet Records. We recently tried the Palmer Di's for our live shows and we really loved them. We also tried the Palmer Power Pad PDI06L08 Power Attenuators. They are great! Having to deal with Db levels in most of the clubs these days it was a must. The Power Pad enabled us to get our tones without having to play at the volume we are used to playing. They are an essential tool for us to have these days! (Phil Caivano)
