Carlo grew up in a New Jersey suburb. In the mid 1980s, he moved to Germany with his family and wound up in Ingolstadt. A self-taught guitarist, he began his career playing in various rhythm & blues bands. His main influences were Randy Rhoads, Van Halen, Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, and a host of other 70s- and 80s-era guitarists. In 1992, Carlo founded the rock band SCANDAL. Their style can probably best be summed up as straight-ahead power rock with feeling: melodious and compact, with catchy riffs and meaningful texts, the way rock should be. The four thoroughbred musicians serve up earthy, gritty, "rock & roll" as well as emotional ballads, both packing a dynamite punch and cloaked in a groove that gets under your skin. Especially live, the band accentuates sound, presentation, and originality!
"The ideal solution for gigging musicians who are tired of arguing about volume with the soundman at every show and want a consistently good sound. This way, I can turn up my amps onstage as loud as I want!"
